Ruba has been a dedicated advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence since 2017. With extensive training in high level trauma informed care, Ruba provided individual and group counseling for adult victims of domestic violence and sexual violence, as well as group counseling to child and teen victims/survivors of sexual assault, and child and teen witnesses of domestic violence at a local Women’s Center until in-person services were temporarily suspended during the pandemic. Since then, Ruba has continued providing support to adult victims and survivors in group and private practice settings, for continued healing, empowerment, safety planning, psychoeducation on abuse and trauma, and resource education.
